Cantor Casino
is a newish online casino and is, unusually, run by the big financial services provider
Cantor Fitzgerald. It contains a blend
of home grown casino games and a few games from 3rd party providers along with the option of financial betting, the latter only
available while the markets are open. It should be noted that Cantor does not accept players from the USA, but then
nor do any of the online casinos at
Casino UK for that matter.
Before I go on, they also have a very interesting promotion running: "
Play at least 500 hands of any of our games
(except Financial Odds) and earn 15% cash back in case the house wins over the month". Sounds good to me. I always
lose ;)
The software install and set-up was easy and while the functionality of the casino itself could be improved in some
ways, it is pretty intuitive. The games are divided into sub-sections comprising Blackjack games, table games, advanced
betting games, slot games and video poker. The advanced betting games section has the financial betting application
alongside the unique game, "Xtra Odds Baccarat". There is also the Cantor multi-player poker client which can be accessed via
the casino or downloaded seperately.
First my gripes: the video poker section is lacking and the games fairly average with no multi-hand games available and
options limited to Jacks Or Better, Joker Poker and Deuces Wild, although no doubt given time this selection will
expand. The slots choice too is limited (but improving) with a few of the older Cryptologic games like Fat Cat and Eastern Dragon
in among some unique slots from Cantor. The pick of these for me are the low variance "London" slot and the very neat
looking "free spins" slot, "
Heavy Metal Steel" which surprisingly contains (moderate) violence and nudity.
The rest of the slots are worth a look but aren't that sticky and I tend to do more slots play at
Canbet Casino myself, although Cantor does make a welcome change.

Where
Cantor Casino
stands out is in the unique table games, like the aformentioned "Xtra Odds Baccarat" and the Financial
betting. Additionally, they have a Single Deck Blackjack game which is very popular with punters. The "table games" section
also has good variety with Craps, European Roulette, Pai Gow, some good Blackjack variants, 4% Baccarat, Let Them Ride and
Double Exposure 21 being the main games on offer. And if you want to learn Blackjack then check out the StatJack game which is
designed (more as a stepping stone) to do just that - teach.
Another strong point is the brand. Cantor Fitzgerald have a global presence and are a big company in the Financial Services
sector so you are definately with a brand you can trust. Banking options include all the usual credit and debit cards
along with Moneybookers and Neteller (my own favourite) eWallet services. That said, I was a bit disappointed to find that
on my first cashout (£400) it went into "Reverse" with a message about a forthcoming request for ID. I expected to provide ID
of course, bu this was on a Saturday and I still hadn' t received the request by Sunday night...could have been quicker
or at least automated to tell me what to send in.
My verdict:
Cantor Casino is going to be one of the safest online casinos for sure and while the games
range isn't huge, it has enough unique and interesting games to put it firmly in my
Top 10 UK Casinos
list. It'll improve when the Atronic slots come online and the Video Poker offerings are expanded which I'm told are in the works.
The Financial Betting, Xtra Odds Baccarat and StatJack Blackjack games are definately worth a look for something a little unique and the 15% cashback
is the best casino rake promo around right now IMO.
