Tote Casino (or Totesport Casino to give it it's full title) is a highly regarded online casino using Playtech's casino software in both download and instant play Flash formats. The casino is run by the previously government-run "Tote" operation which has been running for over 70 years taking bets on race meetings around the country. It has the same games choice as Bet365 Casino.

Tote casino uses it's own proprietary banking system which allows it to match the other bookmakers when it comes to processing withdrawals quickly. Typically I have received cashouts back into my UK bank account via a debit card within 2 working days and in some cases, weekend cashouts appear overnight Monday. That's the quickest I have found at any online casino! The only drawback is that Tote does not accept eWallets such as Neteller, but most debit and credit cards are accepted.

Being on the Playtech platform, the games choice is pretty good. The interface too is among the most professional I have encountered and the background music in the lobby (see pic, right) is worth a mention - very chiiled! The interface is easy enough to use, though sometimes I have found the cashier a little slow to respond. Installation is much quicker than the equivalent Microgaming software used at 32Red Casino and Ladbrokes Casino, although the number of games is lower which clearly makes a difference. The Flash version only carries 40 games, but offers a fast, easy way to access the casino and is obviously good for MAC users, being browser based. I'd also add that Tote have started to licence in some of the excellent Wagerworks/IGT games such as Cleopatra which can be played in the "Games" section on the Tote website.

In terms of games choice, it's still pretty good. There could be more variation in the slots, although there are still a good number of free-spins, Vegas style and jackpot slots to play. The table games are superbly presented with Blackjack (including Blackjack Switch, Blackjack Surrender and Progressive Blackjack, Roulette (American or European) , Keno, Baccarat and Video Poker featuring prominently. Punters will also find games such as Craps, Sic-Bo and even Mahjong! I have to admit to having had reservations when it comes to Playtech casino software in the past, but it has come on in leaps and bouns in recent years and the whole Tote casino experience was such that it is now one of only a handful of online casinos where I play regularly.
