Playtech Casinos

Playtech casino software used to be the poor cousin to Microgaming casino software but things have moved on and now there is little to choose between them. While Microgaming have more choice of games, the quality of Playtech games, in particular their slot games and Live Dealer products are arguably better. With a couple of exceptions (32Red & Golden Lounge both of which I feature among my favourite casinos at Online Casino UK) I find I spend more time playing at Playtech casinos like Bet365 and Tote casino than I do at Microgaming ones these days.

The downside to Playtech is that they are not so strict in who they licence their software to, so it is not uncommon to find Playtech casinos that treat the player poorly with slow cashouts and poor support. The slot games on Playtech are really superb now they have added games like Gladiator and the Marvel Slots which I mainly play at the Genting casinos. Some of them are very high variance (high risk) but it's a risk-reward thing. If you can survive the mean streaks then the Playtech slots can give some bumper paydays!

Video poker at Playtech casinos is much better than at the IGT casinos but not as varied as at Microgaming casinos. It's still pretty decent though. There is a good choice of classic casino games - pretty much every game you can think of from 3 Card Poker, Blackjack and Roulette variations to niche games like SicBo, Pai Gow, Mahjong and even Pachinko games.

Most UK Playtech casinos also have a selection of Live Dealer games. Backjack, Baccarat and Roulette live versions are common these days while Bet365 also offers SicBo and a choice of Asian or European dealers.
